Learn to Paint with Olga Shmatova
Books
Step-by-step self-study guides for adults learning to paint and draw from zero — published by EKSMO since 2004; over 700,000 people have learned to draw from them (publisher's data, 2021), and four titles were translated into Chinese.
Every guide follows the same method: clear explanations, worked examples by the author and her students, exercises for each technique, and complete step-by-step paintings. The books are published in Russian; none is available in English yet.
